Poor Pitch result in several injuries

Hantebeespoort played an away from home league game with Tswaing Rugby Club at Tswaing stadium in Soshanguve, Block X on Saturday afternoon.
It was a fully contested game filled with emotions in the middle of the park. Players of both sides faced some hard times. Couple of injuries were picked-up as a result of poor condition in the pitch.
The game was very close in the score sheet before the half-time and it was difficult for one to anticipate the outcome of the game.
Hantebees got an early try in the opening ten minutes of the game by their hard-working captain Charl Vandewethuuizen. The home team were trailing by 10-7 in the first-half.
Tswaing got no chance to convert their opportunities in the second half as they were held tight by strong Hantebeespoort’s giants. Even though the game was not easy, the away team manage to win by 27-7.
The Hantebeespoort coach, Johan Lewis said that his team gained momentum on the second half and he is proud of his players.
“We enjoyed a lot of possession after the break which is great to the team because what happens in the second half count the most. The game was a good experience to the team and the boys did well”.
Credit should be given to the Hantebeespoort captain, Charl Vanderwethuuizen as he was the main man in the middle of the park. He explained that rugby culture should be implemented to players.
“The game was a very tense moment to players yet it was an interesting game. As players we should learn to control our temper and handle pressure because that’s what rugby it’s all about,” he said.
Twaing Rugby Club coach, Sipho Rebisi said he is disappointed with the results. “Every league game is very important but unfortunately we lost this one. We need to focus on our fitness improvement as a team. Our opponents are physically strong and I think its time we recover from the loss and move-on.
Tswaing Rugby Club is playing against Brongo Sprit at Tswaing Stadium tonight at 19:30 and Hantebeespoort will face Calioon tomorrow at High School Stadium in Hantbeespoort.
